Black Sciensus CIC exists to close the gap in healthcare knowledge, research,
and outcomes affecting Black and African communities globally.
Who We Are
Black Sciensus CIC is a community-driven organisation committed to improving the health and wellbeing of Black and African populations in the UK and across the globe.
We focus on delivering accessible, evidence-based, and culturally relevant health education that empowers individuals, supports healthcare professionals, and informs policy decisions.
Our work is rooted in a simple belief:
everyone deserves access to accurate health information that reflects their lived realities.
Why Our Work Matters
For decades, healthcare systems and medical research have largely been built on data that does not fully represent Black and African populations.
This has led to:
- Misdiagnosis and delayed treatment
- Limited understanding of how conditions present in darker skin
- Gaps in medication response and outcomes
- Widening health inequalities
Black Sciensus CIC was created to challenge this imbalance.
We bridge the gap between science, community, and culture ensuring that health education is not only accurate, but also inclusive, relatable, and impactful.
